The information service deals with enquiries concerning the availability, use or production of audio-visual material. Services include HERMES: online database providing details of audio-visual programmes and their distributors, available in the UK; Moving Image Gateway: websites that relate to moving images and sound and their use in higher and further education; and TRILT: Television and Radio Index for Learning and Teaching: an online database describing UK television and radio programmes, including terrestrial, cable and satellite television, all national and many local radio stations. BUFVC also provides (for a fee) copies of television programmes shown in the past.
