Major management database featuring thousands of journals, dissertations, key business periodicals, country- and industry-focused reports, and downloadable data. Includes ABI-INFORM Trade and Industry: publications on every major industry, including finance, insurance, transportation and construction.
IHS Jane's Defence Equipment and Technology
Data, information and analysis on the air, land, naval and joint defence platforms, weapons and systems in service and under development around the world. Its content underpins market-leading products such as Jane’s All the World’s Aircraft. Access to Data Analytics is also available, including specifications analysis. Register via the site for an individual account in order to save searches and request RFID feeds.

Free, internet-based collection of over 4000 quality assessed resources worldwide. The resources are selected, evaluated, regularly monitored and last updated by subject specialists from Cranfield University. Each resource is described so that you can assess its potential value to you before you visit it.
The Air University Library Index to Military Periodicals (AULIMP) is a free, web-based service provided by the Defense Technical Information Service (DTIC). It contains citations to articles in English language military journals, concentrating particularly on management and the sociological aspects of the armed forces. There are links to full text electronic journals available on the internet including Army Logistician, Engineer, Joint Force Quarterly, Parameters, Signal and Soldiers.
A large multidisciplinary abstract and indexing database that provides access to over 20,000 peer-reviewed titles, including 2,800 gold open access journals, from more than 5,000 international publishers. Scopus indexes more than 50,000 books, 6.5 million conference papers and 24 million patents from five patent offices.
Institute for Security Studies
An Institute of the European Union, having the status of an autonomous agency under the the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) of the EU. Web site provides news and analysis extracted from international media sources, along with information on publications, projects and seminars.
Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces
International foundation of 45 governments which encourages and supports States and non-State governed institutions to strengthen democratic and civilian control of armed and security forces, and promotes security sector reform. Includes full text occasional papers, policy papers and working papers.
International Crisis Group
Independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation working through field-based analysis and high-level advocacy to prevent and resolve deadly conflict. Provides a database of reports and briefings searchable by region, date or keyword. Documents are available in Word or pdf.
Oxford Research Group: building bridges for global security
The ORG are an award winning, independent non-governmental organisation and registered charity, whose aims are to promote a more sustainable approach to security for the UK and the world. This site gives access to briefings, papers and reports. In April 2005, they were named one of the top 20 think tanks in the UK by The Independent newspaper.
